No Appointment Necessary

We all live in a hectic, sometimes frantic world, where we try to stay organized but things just don't go as planned. At White Rock Animal Hospital, we do not require your pet to have an appointment to be seen during regular office hours. Drop-offs are encouraged, as it gives our staff time to fully evaluate your pet's medical issues and complete all necessary procedures that are indicated.

We are happy to schedule you an appointment if you work better on a schedule. Our only required appointments are for surgical procedures, extended diagnostic testing, radiographs, EKG, certain laboratory tests, or biochemical assays. These appointments are needed to give our staff plenty of time to complete the procedures and have time for doctor interpretation and review before dismissal.

We strive to complete all diagnostics the day of the appointment and not have to resort to callbacks the following day. We know your time is important, and point of care diagnosis and treatment is what we strive for in all cases.

Transparent Veterinarian Fees

We will do our best to give you a complete and concise estimate of all recommended procedures and their cost, prior to proceeding. We strive to be upfront and transparent in our fees and recommended treatment/diagnostic protocols. We do not extend credit for routine veterinary services. We recommend CareCredit for all third-party payments, and highly recommend new pet owners consider pet insurance to help offset the rising costs of veterinary care today. All services are to be paid in full at the time of discharge unless prior arrangements have been made with our staff. We honor all major credit cards, checks, and cash.

We are fortunate to have some of the best veterinary facilities and specialists in the Southwest US, with the very best in technology a phone call away. CT Scans, MRI, Radiation therapy, Oncology, Neurology, Advanced Surgery, and Echocardiograms. The most advanced care is available 24/7 in the DFW Metroplex. We will gladly refer you and your pet for second opinions, and advanced care, whenever necessary. We are sure to maintain a direct relationship with all our local specialty clinics and Board Certified Specialists so we can have a smooth transition for your pet.

We have entrusted more than just our pets’ health to WRAH. Since 2015, my husband and I have trusted the amazing staff to care for our first furr-baby, Hershel. Dr. Bob Hawthorne

Dr. Bob Hawthorne was born and raised in the Lake Highlands area. Bob graduated from Lake Highlands High School and Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. He lives in Lakewood with his wife Mireya and three college students. Kathlynn [Duke], Trapp [OU], and Leah [Georgia]. Their home is shared with 4 dogs and 3 cats! His interests include cooking, landscaping and college football. Bob's professional interests center around surgery, internal medicine, dermatology and geriatric medicine.

'I'm lucky that I've never worked a day in my life. This is not a job, it's a lifelong dream fulfilled. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to do what I do, and with the people, staff and clients that I am with everyday. And on top of that, dogs and cats! Nothing could be better.'

Dr. Patty Williams Williams

Dr. Patty Williams grew up in Dallas. Patty graduated form Hillcrest High School and Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She lives in Old Lake Highlands with her husband Mark and 2 children Tyler [Oklahoma State], and Katy [Texas Tech]. She shares her home with 3 cats and a rabbit. Patty's interests include English Riding, watching Katy compete in equestrian events, raising Golden Retrievers and snow skiing.

Patty's professional interests include Emergency Medicine and Critical Care; Patty is on staff at MedVet Dallas in the CCU/Emergency department.

This depth of experience is the basis for our many referrals and second opinion appointments from the entire Dallas Fort Worth area. We welcome all new patients, young and old - new pet owners and experienced pet lovers, breeders, show dog owners and handlers, and pet adopters for local Humane shelters and breed rescue organizations.

Connie Davies Davies
Head Veterinary Technician

Connie grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, and has been a Vet Technician for over 25 years. She started at White Rock in 1993, then took time off in 1998 to be a stay at home Mom to Aaron and Sarah. She returned to WhiteRock in 2008. Connie is married to Philip, and shares their home with theirs labs, Boogie and Dixie. Connie's interests away from the office include camping [Glamping], Moto GP racing and cooking....ask about her Carnitas! Her guilty pleasure is Reality TV.
